Greetings all,

Due to a family move to California in about 60 days, I'm selling my 444. I gutted the interior, installed three new floor pans and support rails, complete clutch linkage parts, new shocks, new motor and tranny mount, new IPD sway bars front and rear and as soon as it arrives from Sweden...all new interior and carpet will be installed (late Dec. is a guess). Vintage Bendix radio being installed this week.

It was updated with a B-18 and 4-speed prior to my purchase. It runs great. It has a rare sunroof and roof rack.

Aw - I had a '57 444 that I was not able to bring back to glory due to a move. And yours looks way too nice for what I can afford right now even though we're settled! Good luck with the sale, though let me know if you want to take itty bitty little payments for the next few years and I'll take it off your hands :)

Thanks for replying...wish I could help you out. I hate to sell it, as I've put in a lot of work already and it's a very cool ride. I strap a surfboard on the roof rack and it attracts a lot of attention.

If I end up keeping it for some reason, I think I'm going to fix the seat position. It just doesn't fit me well. I would replace the seats with newer 144/244 seats, or someone told me Mazda Miata seats fit well.

I hope you find another 444/544 soon!

Many thanks! Glad it's over...messy job for sure. The sound level inside the car is WAY improved over what it was before. The biggest and most noticeable difference is how solid the car feels.
