Ledfoot, I got a couple questions for ya....

Have you attached a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail and monitored it while the engine is running?

Have you tried a different IACV (since you've already cleaned yours with no improvement)?

Dear ledfoot,

Hope you're well. Has the Idle Air Control Valve (IACV) been cleaned? If it is carboned-up, the idle will be rough or inconsistent. See the FAQs for how to clean an IACV.

It is also possible that IACV has failed. That, though, isn't likely because you reported no On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) Codes. A dead IACV

If the MAP sensor failed, your fuel mileage would have dropped from, say 20 miles/gallon to 15-16 miles/gallon.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook

Thanks for the reply. The IACV is clean and has been swapped out with three known good ones. The only thing that has shown up is while checking the OBD component test, everything seemed to work except the fuel pump did`nt run. Thanks again. I had hoped you would chime in. Larry
