Ok guys many many thanks... More info.....
240, 1993, 140000 miles
When the motor is dying there is no fuel pressure. First it stutters than it dies. I placed a pressure gauge into the fuel line so I was able to see the relationship between the stutter and the fuel pressure. I have an ignition sensor in the car as well so I know that there is spark.... Yes, the fuel pump relay, or the fuse or the wiring somewhere. Something to do with heat as the time goes by it heats up. I will exchange the relay.... If I still fail, that I will check the fuse and wiring...
Many many thanks for your help

Fuses

Fuel pump relay

Crank position sensor

More information like the the year would help. What was the car doing when it fails.

DISTANT possibility is the main fuel pump but they are pretty tough and fail rarely.

i would focus on the fuel pump relay first

it is unlikely the crank sensor would fail in the manner which you describe.
normally when they fail the car won't start irrespective of time. the only other cps failure i have seen and then only once was a short in the wires which caused a stall because of the engine vibration causing the two wires inside the sensor cable to short against each other.

since you describe 1 hour being the trigger i suspect heat is the actual causal factor which returns us to the relay.
