I get a prolonged squeak when turning at slow speeds or at a stand-still. Since the struts were installed 3 months ago just before I bought the car I figure they are the culprits. I spray lubed all that I could but the bothersome squeak persists.
Please offer opinions for a fix.

Do you know if the strut mounts were replaced at the same time?

Are you sure the noise is coming from the strut? Have you located the sound using a hose and a helper?

If you discover the noise is coming from the rack or steering shaft area you could try lubing the shaft's u-joints (good maintenance practice anyway..:). Also check the ball joints, inner and outer tie rods for safety's sake!

If the sound is more of a squeal, then your PS fluid might be low or the PS pump is going south.
