AC Retrofit Procedure 200 1992

I'm finally getting around to installing the Volvo R134 retrofit kit I purchased a few years ago. I was looking for instructions in older posts and found a link which is now dead (http://volvo2.homestead.com/quickindex.html) which referenced a document '134a_convert.pdf'. Does anyone have this document?

Is this the same procedure that is currently shown in the 700 FAQ?

I would appreciate any tips from anyone that has done this. It looks pretty straightforward. I have a vacuum pump and gauge set. Do I need to run some sort of flushing solvent through the system?

This is what I used: https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/VolvoR134Conversion/R134ConversionPage1.htm

As far as flushing. Spoke to an a/c tech who told me that unless your compressor ate itself up. There was no need. He said I could spray a little brake cleaner into the lines and use an air compressor to blow it out.

I will certainly post back with results and comments. Hopefully it goes smoothly :)

A couple of questions:

-Did you end up removing your compressor or did you leave it along with the existing oil in the system and add the ester oil to the receiver?

-Did you replace the o rings for the 2 lines at the compressor?

I did the conversion and left most everything alone. But compressor died several yrs later is when I did a minor flush.

Aleekat,
Did you purchase the Volvo retrofit kit? My kit came with a package of larger green o-rings which I presume are for the connections to the new drier/receiver. It also came with a package of yellow o-rings (maybe 10 or so?) which I suspect/hope are to replace the o-rings in the rest of the system. Do you recall if you used these yellow o-rings for reassembling the entire system or did you have to source them individually?
-Kevin

Yes I bought the retro kit. But it's been over 10yrs since I did mine so I really don't remember. I just followed the instructions in the link I gave you.
