I have a very rusty 1994 940 trunk lid and have found a rust free 960 trunk lid. Are they interchangeable?

Same part number for 1994 940 and 960: 3526561. Even later years 960 had the same trunk lid I believe. Seems like it should work. I checked the info with http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/ Good luck!
