1992 Volvo 240 Available in Tampa FL 200

This is not my car but I looked at it and it's in pretty good condition but needs some work.

One owner probably less than 100k K miles elderly lady owned automatic.
Exterior in very good shape no rust FL car, one small dent on rt front fender, needs polish.
Excellent blue interior no rips or fading.
Runs well starts as it should needs front end alignment and tire balance as it pulls a little to the right and shakes at 55-60mpg
Has fairly new exhaust and battery, sun burnt head and tail lights.
Engine oil looks to have some rust color in definitely needs an oil change or 2, antifreeze looks fresh, doesn't look like and oil or trans leaks.

If interested I can provide phone #, I am thinking it will sell fast as it is advertised in the Tampa tribune for $1,100. Contact me at pageda(at)get(dot)net

Dan

I truly wish Volvo hadn't abandoned the 242/244/245 badging. (nmi) 200

    1. Find the broken teeth and get them out of the ring gear.
    2. Be sure the rotor's thrust bearing is not jammed.
    3. Reflow the three motor pin terminal solder connections.
    4. Check to see you didn't plug the tach wire on the cruise control tabs.

How about they reproduce a limited number of 240 models? 200

This is my wishful thinking like how Nissan reproduced/refurblished 240Z cars in year 2000. Maybe they can modify the production process by putting the engine & tranny on a sub frame and mount directly to the body...

        never going to happen.

Main reason is the Electronics that are crammed into modern cars.
And if the likes of Elon Musk have any say...a car that IS NOT auto drivable is a too dangerous to be allowed on the road.

Give it 5 years and these will be Historic limited drive cars.

China is Volvo and Volvo is China.

It is all unibody, and that unibody is FWD/AWD. The 240 is a unibody.

No longer the people's car, as with 240, 140, and so on back in time.

A luxury item with fitments three ways on them brake calipers for your recent 2015 S60 model, and you'll get the wrong part shipped in three ways from Volvo as you may have one of three front caliper models on that 2015 S60. Why did the no more than 18 month caliper fail?

We can no longer purchase a factory strut mount for a Volvo 240 (PN 1272455) from Volvo.

We may be free adverts as we motor in these 240s, yet Volvo, er Geely, has to make a renminbi or two.

I can't afford 70K$ for an S90 to replace the 240 when a NLA part means I sell it or park it junk it.

I feel RWD Volvo fancy is a pain in the Geely-Volvo arse.

Oh to be a bug, an electronic eaves dropping device in the bored room, when the Volvo Swedes and Geely Chinese 'debate' on an item to bring to market.

I'll assure you, Swedish Baklava, Volvo 240 and all RWD model sustaining engineering ain't one of them.

        Fuzzy numbers?

          Hi Kitty,

          Watch this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UcZwZhP5DI

The frame 6:05 thru 8:19. This is what I meant by bolting a subframe into the body. It's a production friendly meaning it no longer requires people.

Kitty, our car is 30 years old. Come on now. I am glad they still make parts for us.

          Happy Friday.

None of the car makers want you to keep cars 25 plus years and none of todays cars will.
