93 block mount distributor engine into 92 rex-regina 944

Hello all, I am considering swapping in a low mileage block mount distributor engine (presumably out of a 93 240) into my 944. The 944 is a rex-regina car. All I see now are flexplate/flywheel must be changed and new plugs wires. Any other issues that need my attention?

thanks in advance

Not sure why the flex plate would be changed unless there are a different number of "windows" than on LH 2.4/3.1.

By "new plug wires) are you implying you plan to use the block distributor instead of the head mounted? Though I am pretty sure this would work, I would suggest considering the complexity of modifying the engine wiring harness verses using the head mounted dizzy.
