Part ID 700 1989

I'm trying to diagnose my issue on the FAQ, but I need help identifying the parts first. Does anyone know what this plastic piece (with Volvo written on it) attached to the throttle body is called? The hoses are ripped and I need to order a new one, but no idea what it's called. Thank you!

    The Pope Visits America

The Pope just finished a tour of the East Coast and was taking a limousine to the airport. Since he'd never driven a limo, he asked the bearded chauffeur if he could drive for a while. The reluctant chauffeur pulled over along the roadside, climbed into the back of the limo, and the Pope took the wheel. The Pope then merged onto the highway and accelerated to over 90 mph to see what the limo could do.

Suddenly, the Pope noticed the blue light of the State Patrol in his side mirror, so he pulled over. The trooper approached the limo, peered in through the windows, then said, "Just a moment please, I need to call in."

The trooper called in and explained to the chief that he had a very important person pulled over for speeding. "How do I handle this, chief?" asked the trooper.

"Is it the Governor?" questioned the chief. "No! This guy is even more important!"

"Is it the President?" asked the chief.

    "No! Even more important!"

"Well, who the heck is it?" screamed the chief.

"I’m not sure, sir," replied the trooper, "but I think its Jesus because the Pope is his chauffeur."

    Part Number 700 1989

    You have the part number.

Walt has identified the item in question but a search for 'Volvo 1357434' would tell you what you need to know.

Admittedly, part numbers are not always so prominent. But frequently they will be. Always look for them.

      Part ID - images again .... 700 1989

Uncle Volvo Newbie and Happy Tuesday Folks,

These are them? Yes they are in the previous post.

Throttle ID (you have your part ID 'Volvo 1357434' answer already, thanks to uncle aleekat and bulletproof.

      Throttle ID2

What part do you seek info for in image Throttle ID2?

Our wise and sage, and inspired, Uncle Art B's directions to embed images in a post in a brickboard message using the HTML:

      https://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1629207/740/760/780/starting_issue_confusion.html

Though, to use the image, now linked, as you upload into the relentless, if mighty, BrickPix index, select the entire string in the BrickPix image page HTML field, and paste into the message page IMAGE URL field. (I guess that's how it works, though Art's HTML method may be easier for you.) Dunno if you can post multiple images using some kind of delimiter. Maybe a space is all you need? I dunno.

      Valkommen!

      Hope that helps.

          Hi Volvo Newbie,

'Tis okay. Why I posted Art's instructions (that is an image) to embed images directly in a brickboard poster's message.

I tied posting these instructions using the html code tag so the reb browser would display the instructions. Of course Art has the instructions in an image. I oft repeat it.

You can also post an image, regardless of pixel size, that is no more than one megabyte in file length (size).

Mark up languages are not as difficult as writing, say object oriented code. Don't ask me to do that! One fails miserably after decades or tryin'!

          Thank you.

          Duffed.
