Is it possible for Parking lights only on with key. 200 1991

Howdy all,
Is is possible to rewire parking lights to only work with key on, just like the headlights do?

Sure. Everything is possible. What fuses are they on? What else is on those fuses?

    What fuse are KPII only?

Easy way is to change the "bus" that feeds the parking lights. You go from the "always on" to KPII only.

    Now the question is, why?

I enjoy driving with my parking lights on. I just installed side markers/turn signals. I sometimes forget to turn parking lights off.
      I like it.

      What else are they for?

Why do they have the first click on the light switch?

      Thanks for assistance.

        Hi New Mexico,

I think it may be a safety feature. It would allow you to leave the lights on if you were broken down on a dark, foggy night, at the same time leaving the car locked with the keys in your pocket.

Like you, I've also used them in the daytime, and forgotten to turn them off. Once they were on for an 8 hour shift and it cost me a boost.

        Peter

I'm just going to move the power to the parking lights from an always on fuse to a key on only fuse. I am surprised I have not done it yet.

          Thanks for the inquiry.
