Source for Volvo OEM Climate Control system manual ?? 700

I tried to find the Climate Control System Manual at www.volvotechinfo.com but came up empty.

Anyone know of a source or have one they would sell. From what I read it would be a great reference to changing a 740 heater core.

Thanks for any guidance.

Randy

Randy,

It's getting harder to find hardcopies. Sometimes they are found on EBAY.

The disc from FCP has all the service and parts manuals:
https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-repair-manual-cd-rom-740-760-780-ot-publications-tp-51955

It is a good investment. More cumbersome than the hardcopy, but you can print out the relevant pages.

Paul,

Thanks. I was unaware that was available.

Kittysgreyvolvo brought a site to my attention that provided access to a number of the volvo manuals on line:

Hi Randy,

Another resource for you and folks.

http://www.k-jet.org/documents/

Though I see nothing on 700-series HVAC.

http://www.k-jet.org/documents/greenbooks/700-series/

Though the 900-series does include such information. Hope it helps if not too dissimilar from your 700-series repair info needs.

http://www.k-jet.org/documents/greenbooks/900-series/

I forget we have these resources time and again, even when I need to futz with 240 repairs. Look at the links listing also.

The 700-900 FAQ topic page on maintenance manuals (Im sure you've looked these up):

https://www.brickboard.com/FAQ/700-900/MaintenanceManuals.htm

Some of the links are to inactive websites.

The same, yet curated:

https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/faq/MaintenanceManuals.html

Found this, yet no 700-series HVAC:

http://www.ohio.edu/people/ridgely/volvo_docs/

This seems to be useful, yet involves many ads and pop-ups for donations.

http://workshop-manuals.com/volvo/740/l4-2320cc_2.3l_sohc_turbo_vin_87_b230ft/heating_and_air_conditioning/heater_core/component_information/service_and_repair/heater_core_w/_a/c/

I would disable video media, JavaScript, cookies, disallow pop-ups, and the sort on workshop-manuals.com.

Also, we have to root around through:

http://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/

The VADIS disc has manuals, yes? Or is that mere diagnostic decision flowcharts leading to which manual to use by name and part number? I forget. I can't find the disc or my Bentley 240 manual for now what seems years.

Thanks to both the Volvo Tips and K-Jet website hosts and owners (and our mighty brickboard.com)!

I forget other sites that had scanned PDFs of green and other manuals. As Google can't find them, maybe the sites are no longer up?

Randy, hope that helps you.

Happy Friday. Good luck with the heater core replacement. A little easier on a 700-900 than a 240.

MacDuff.

I used the FAQs and Haynes manual for my 85. Don't rely on memory how everything goes back together. Take pics, marking tape, sharpie etc. Have plenty of room to put everything that you remove. Be prepared for plenty of cussing, aching, LABOR INTENSIVE...
