that's microaggression. That Volvo is a cultural appropriation. If is Offensive to a group who hold Low-Riders near and dear. You will be taken down for your insensitivity....How can you sleep at night?

i was waiting for someone to pick up on all this PC bulls--t and respond.

all i can say with abject apology......... lo siento

glad it was someone who sees it for the pathetic intolerant nonsense it actually is.

microagreesions, safe spaces, cultural appropriation.........who makes this crap up?

have we as parents and grandparents managed to rear one or two generations of complete emotional weaklings? unable to truly fend for themselves in the jungle that is the real world without resorting to a cry baby response?

This isn't the rant area so I won't comment much. Perhaps you've seen the various college protests to change language professors use eg.

'Last December, Jeannie Suk wrote in an online article for The New Yorker about law students asking her fellow professors at Harvard not to teach rape law—or, in one case, even use the word violate (as in “that violates the law”) lest it cause students distress.'

I thought this nicely summarized the current attitude http://www.theonion.com/article/parents-dedicate-new-college-safe-space-honor-daug-50851

Everyone needs to watch Gas Monkey Garage or other Custom build Hot Rod shows on cable TV. It's cool to lower customs practically on the ground to get the look. Usually you also need to consider all the suspension geometry so the car drives OK when somewhat lowered to do it right. Low riders also use air bags as well as cruder spring manipulations to get the cars dancing and shaking themselves apart.

I don't think old Volvo's need this treatment or benefit from it. I don't even want performance enhancing lowering springs on my car! But to each his own.
Dan

Must be uncomfortable for a Volvo 240 to set so low to the ground.

So, bagged means air shocks, then?

Is this a Volvo 240 low rider, then?

Er, also uncomfortable for me to see.

The TME lowering springs I got from iPd in like 2001 for the grey 1991 Volvo 240 sedan, well, they are still lowering, and shall go for regular ride height springs some time now.

Oh well. Happy Tuesday.

MacDuffed.

Bagged from air bags aka air shocks I guess.

Bagged, slammed, lipped, lips, tucked, stanced, flush (extreme = a hellaflush stance aka hellaflush susp = so low it''s not drivable).

A co-worker had a truck license plate "curb2hi". He'd put down 2x8s to drive over some speed bumps.

Aside: Jonthan Winters: I agree, an epic comedian/actor. Funny even when he was old and in failing health. A breath of fresh air in the 1960s when "take my wife" was cutting edge. Underrated: as innovative and bright as Nichols & May.

There's all kinds of intolerance, Ted

If you really need to vent go over to the opinions forum. Believe me, they'll love you over there.

I had to look it up too. I'd seen it but forgot. I've never liked custom cars of any kind and don't keep up.
