Engine Bay Paint? 120-130

All,

I'm finally working on the old girl again and am looking to tidy up the engine bay. I was planning on ordering some spray cans from VP Auto to touch up the few areas that need it before I reinstall the engine, but they are out of stock on this side of the pond and it will be months before they have more in stock. Does anyone know of another source? What have other folks used? It's the engine bay, so a perfect match is not necessary but I don't want it to be too far off.

Thanks!

Noah

If your engine bay is still the original body color, you should be able to go to an auto paint store and give them the color code or they can look it up, given the year/make/model. They can even package it in a spray can for you.

I recently painted the engine bay in my 122, using one of those small "touch up" spray guns from Harbor Freight. I bought a pint of auto enamel, (single stage) along with the appropriate catylist & reducer from a local auto-parts store which mixes paint. Then painted the engine with Por 15 engine enamel using a small brush (2 coats). Turned out good.

Thanks, gentlemen, I'll start looking for a local source that mixes auto paint. I appreciate the tip.
