      rfxm,

If you are trying to reach the fellow with the 40-year parts collection in Livingston, NJ, please see the thread he posted here:

      https://www.brickboard.com/RWD/index.htm?id=1624071&show_all=1

For parts, please also check (and you may have already tried this):
      - Junkyard close to you. I guess that may be Sacramento, Redding, Chico (Chico State, #1 CIA party school), and some places in South Oregon like Medford, Eugene, and the like.
      - Check junkyard that use or are connected to the national junkyard networks. They may be able to send something freight, junkyard to junkyard, though that may cost you.
      - Review the many, many articles and threads here on your brickboard.com for Volvo 240 seat solutions, including replacement and restoration.
      - https://www.brickboard.com/PICKNPULL/ (Search and make request for. Requires a brickboard.com account for you to post.)
      - Craigslist in the SF Bay Area, Chico, Redding, Medford, Sacramento, Portland for Volvo parts. (Freight shipping can be pricey. I did not find any Volvo 240 seats.

It may be difficult to find a front seat in brown vinyl. Unless recovered. Though, again, while in the RWD forum, use the brickboard.com forum search feature to find threads and articles that can help you arrive at a solution. The solution may be a blue cloth seat, yet that may be all you can find.

      Questions?

      Hope that helps.

My guess is that since he's willing to ship parts--and wants to unload what he has it is doing 240 owners a service by placing his ad on other area Craigslists besides his own. -- Dave

          I took home Ken's 93. It replaced my girlfriend's significantly run-down 89 244.

These parts on Craigslist aren't from Ken. I bought just about all of his 240 related items along with the car.

I sent the guy a message through craigslist asking for some specific k-jet parts for my '81 244. His response was quick, but negative. He didn't have what I was looking for. He posts periodically in the St. Louis craigslist.

Charlie I did not buy either of Ken's cars. Made a full price unseen offer on his wife's car ($800) because a friend was coincidentally in need of one, as it seemed no one was responding. However Ken closed a deal privately.

I was attracted to this thread because some day I will have to do likewise with the parts collected. Foregone conclusion?
