Regina 745 fuel pump 700

Why did the Regina cars only have the single in-tank pump and the Bosch systems have the two pump system? Just curious since I sort of wish my Regina car had two pumps rather than just the one...

They probably did it to save money; why use two pumps if one will do? As pumps got more reliable they opted for less hardware.

Why would you want two pumps? The Regina works fine, it is just more expensive as there is less demand for it.

I just replaced one in a '92 with an OEM from FCP. All the aftermarket ones don't impress and need mods, and considering the hassle factor of a pump swap, the extra $50 is worth it.

If I`m not mistaken AC was original equipment and has worked fine for me for 20 thousand miles. The prior owner installed an Airtex pump which didn`t last long. He also twisted the assembly tube so as to misalign the two rods that the fuel sender slides on creating a problem with the gauge reading a half tank when actually it was empty. Make sure you get one specifically for Regina. Hope this helps. Larry

Bosch also switched to a single pump in later 94 and 95 940's. With out crawling under you can see that the old white rectangular relay has been changed to the square blue relay in the front row

So, can anyone recommend a brand of pump to replace my Regina single in tank pump with? Its not a Bosch and I cannot tell what what brand was used. I want something good that won't leave me stranded.....again. I want to avoid buying the readily available aftermarket China made pumps....

      Thank you..
