what holds them on? 444-544

I'm removing everything I can frm a 65 544 in preparation for painting. What holds the "544" emblems on? They are both sides of the cowl. Don't want to break them. Near impossible to get to the back side.

    Push-on clip retainers that fasten to "pins" that are part of the back side emblem.

    Be careful when removing them (the clips). It is easy to break the pins during removal, but it can be done. The emblems are white metal and once broken can't really be fixed other than gluing them back on instead.
