How does the parking light lens on my 65 544 come off? It looks like the chrome ring has to come off first, but afraid to pull too hard. Possible the PO glued the rings on. Just want verification that the chrome ring comes first, then the lens will come away from the rubber. Hate when I do something stupld and break a part.

The rubber housing has a lip that folds over the chrome bezel's rim.
Carefully pry it back and the bezel will pop off.
If the rubber is old amd hard it can be very difficult to re-install.

Use a small flat blade screwdriver to start the process and slide it around under the ring to remove. When re-installing the lens and ring use some silicone lubricant to ease the parts under the rubber. Can be a frustrating process but make sure that the chrome ring is seated properly otherwise it will fall off at the first opportunity.
