Ratios vary between other options such as transmissions. Wagons, I think, have higher gears, so if you use a sedan rear, you'll have slightly more relaxed highway cruising, but your speedometer will be off.
Are you planning to change the suspension components too? If so, you want to stick with '71-(yes, I believe) '73. '74 is a maybe.
Pre-'71 cars have shorter suspension arms, which locate the differential about 1" forward of where yours is. I prefer the later arrangement. Also, your driveshaft is too long for the earlier type.
And yes, you have a Dana 30. Largely the same as most, with, I believe, the exception of the way the axles are held in. Easiest though, is to simply replace the whole thing, disc to disc, with a unit from a donor car.
What makes you think you need to replace? They are pretty bullet-proof (figuratively and literally :) ) as long as they don't go dry.
