Back in the game - question about Light Bulb Failure light 200 1990

Just bought a 1990 240 Wagon (my 6th 240). PO did an LED conversion for the taillights, brake lights signals, etc. He covered up the light failure warning light on the cluster with electrical tape.

My question is this: Can I just take the bulb out of the cluster?

    Sure you can. It might even be easier and quicker to reach up (knee bolster removed) and grab the bulb failure warning sensor can, find the blue/yellow wire going to pin 1 of the sensor and nip it in two. Either way, success.
