sun visor frozen up 63 544 444-544

Hey to all, can anyone tell me if the pivot rod can be pulled out and replaced without problems going back in. The visor itself is not ripped up, just trying to free it up. Thanks. Larry

Update, the rods are straight. We put them in the vise and with a little effort twisting back and forth the visor came off. A little Vaseline on the very tip of the rod and everything is fine. Not too much lubricant because the visor needs to be tight enough as to not fall. Thanks. larry

If the mount where it pivots is frozen remove the visor and you can use some KROIL to get it free.
Kroil is IMHO better than PB, LW or WD.

The best penetrant is a 50-50 mix of trans fluid and acetone or laquer thinner

Whatever you use just keep it out of and off of the visor material.

It is frozen up in the visor itself. I think I can remove the rod by pulling it straight out but not exactly sure if it is a straight rod. I am wondering what type of pinch setup it has inside? Thanks. Larry
