Remote starter switch. 444-544

Somehow, I've lost the ability to search the archives, so forgive me if this is redundant.
I just replaced the ignition switch body, and I'm sure I will soon break off the key as the starter spring action is extremely strong.
The answer of course is to wire in a push button switch - using a relay - and mounted out of sight if possible.
Has anyone been able to do this neatly?
Pete.

Thanks for the tip.
I mounted a small 12 volt relay next to and fed from the fuse block. The "load" is fed from the " ign on " terminal wire thru a mini Push Button switch, mounted out of sight on a bracket attached to the driver seat base R. H. front, and on to a spare starter solenoid terminal. If you want to play Russian Roulette with the key you can still do so.
{Patrick - I understand your point about the solenoid being a relay, but I wanted to avoid any stress on the remote button contacts.}

I was about to lose the key in my 122... I just ran a wire from the solenoid, and another from battery positive. Ignition is on/off with the key, and I start it by touching the ends of my two wires together. One day, I'll actually install a switch :) It won't be a big one, and there won't be a relay (except the solenoid)
