1987 240 flasher where is it located?? 200 1987

Thanks for the help..... Right signal front is flashing faster than normal and rear is not working at all. Was told to change both bulbs. Yellow bulb in front and white one in the back. But still rear right signal indicator is not flashing at all and front is still flicking faster. I thought I remeber some one telling me about a flasher relay years ago to deal with a faster flicker signal indicator. Any thoughts how to resolve this.? Where does the flasher go to replace that? Don't remember where it was located? Thanks

Hear it ticking 200 1987

The flasher is located behind the plastic panel to the right of your right knee. Because it works on the left side, you can trace it by the sound it makes.

But the flasher is doing its job. The right front flashes fast because it has a bulb failure sense feature built in, which makes the flash twice as fast when one of the two bulbs on the exterior of the car is not connected.

You will fix this by revisiting the rear lamp you checked, looking for a bit of corrosion or other reason for a poor connection to a good bulb. On a sedan, this can be in the tail light harness connector, circuit board, or bulb holder. On a wagon, check the bulb holder's contacts. Also, the right side is fed across the back of the car from the left side, a common area for rust and weather exposure. More possibilities exist if the car has a hitch. The one thing you don't need is a new flasher.
