Broken Turbo gauge 700 1989

My turbo gauge is not working in my 89 760 wagon. Any ideas on how to fix this without getting an entire new dash? Thanks a bunch!

Pull the cluster. Couple screws to remove the gauge. But agree with the rest, check the vacuum line that connects to the gauge.

Dave Barton has several gauge faces. He admits the accuracy is not guaranteed but I like the HG (vacuum) readings for getting good MPG.

If the needle fell off and is laying down at the bottom of the gauge, it can be re-glued. Most of the time, the vacuum line is disconnected somewhere or has a severe tear in it.

Are you certain that the hose is connected to the gauge? I have never seen a turbo boost/vacuum gauge break.

In reality, it is a pretty worthless gauge. They don't tell you much, just if you have over, or under, ambient pressure in the intake manifold. Our turbo cars have them, but you never use one to drive by. Volvo quit installing them in the 1995 940s.
