I'm being curiously entertained with the exception of you not replacing the wires?
"Seems like no spark?" That is the first place to start to find a reason for a no start.
Like having a great stereo with super speakers then having vacuum hose to hook them up with.
I know if there is light on the front panel but why don't I get good sound?
Really spark plugs do not have a bit of copper in them. Their made out of fiberglass or nylon threads with graphite sprinkle while their being twisted together.
If it were not for the high voltages lamp cord would be better. Just don't listen to a radio, you know, that old thing, that leaks music between commercials! (:-)
20 years is what can wear them out let alone the under-the-hood temperatures. Guess what unwinds and the insulation becomes porous to moisture? The outsides, just like vacuum hose to pass air!
The '92 was the third year to use a Crank Position Sensor that starts a lot of things "clicking."
If it still has a yellow band around the insulation of the wire you might want to replace it soon.
They are a failure item along with a fuel pump relays solder joints.
Do you hear any pumps run when you first turn the key to position two and then it stops.
That is only a pre start staging to fill the fuel rail.
That relay needs to turn on everytime you bump the engine around. Check for function of it and spark from the coil wire to the distributor.
Also how old in the timing belt? You might want to make sure the timing belt is turning the overhead cam that's under the oil fill cap! Give it a peek to see if it's changing position after or during a crank.
Unless you are really fast or have long arms, you might want to get someone to crank the engine for you.
I am Really fast as I have a starting cord with a momentary push switch! (:-)
There are more people to chime in soon looking for entertainment as well!
