windshield wiper failure 200

Windshield wiper failure, the cable pulley on the passengers side fell off the shaft that goes through to the outside. What holds this pulley on to the shaft and it looks like the top of the dash board has to come off? Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated.

Actually, this is a scenario I have not had the experience with myself. On my page Notes on 240 Volvo Windscreen Wipers I have a link to Jim Morris's page where he describes an epoxy fix for this and having done it (kudos!) without removing the dash.

Just a few months ago, I corresponded with a Volvo owner in Japan who had his mechanic do this repair using adhesive. It was a right hand drive car.

An elderly looking gentleman, very well dressed, hair well groomed, great looking suit, flower in his lapel, smelling slightly of a good after shave, presenting a well-looked-after image, walks into an upscale cocktail lounge.

Seated at the bar is an elderly looking lady.

The gentleman walks over, sits alongside of her, orders a drink, takes a sip, turns to her and says, "So tell me, do I come here often?"
