No start 1991 240 200

I was wondering if fuel should be present in the small hose on the outlet side of the fuel pressure regulator. When I turn the ignition switch to start, I can feel the bulge in the hose on the inlet side of the fuel pressure regulator, but there is no fuel or evidence of fuel on the outlet side in the small hose. Is that the way it is supposed to be?? I was thinking maybe that is why I have a no start condition.

If you are talking about the vacuum line on the front of the regulator, then no fuel should be there. Bad fuel pressure regulators don't cause no starts.

Do you have spark and fuel at the plugs.

I have spark from the coil wire. The plugs are wet and have no spark. I was going thru the Bentley service manual and looking to test the ignition system. on the EZ-116K ignition system, they mention checking the in-line fuse on the left front fender. Do you know if the 1991 240's have such a fuse and so what does it look like? Thanks.

.??? You have spark from the coil wire and not any of the spark plugs????

Think there might be a disconnect under the distributor cap?

You know like a bad rotor button! As simple as they are, they do go bad!

I carry one in the car for a spare!

"Think there might be a disconnect under the distributor cap?"

Yes. It can be an open rotor.

Also could be a disconnect at the timing belt. Rotor isn't turning...

The 1991 does not have the fuse under the hood.
