Where is the BFWS (Bulb Failure Warning Sensor)located in a 1997 965? I haven;t been able to find this out.

In my Green Book 97/98 wiring diagrams the headlamp bulb warning is combined with the main headlight relay and is shown located behind the dash above the driver's left leg. Looks like it is mounted to a bracket that supports the steering column, brake pedal, etc. The relay/BFWS is shown as one of those fairly large rectangular units.

There is also a rear BFWS and on my 1998 S90 this can be seen when you remove the floor cover in the trunk over the small cavity behind the left rear wheel well.

Many thanks for the 411. Much better back there than digging around under the dash.

Hello darkdelta,

FYI. Rear driver side? I am guessing.

Thanks for the info, now I have a starting place to get rid of that always on bulb failure lamp. Pretty sure the LED 1157s are the culprit.
