'89 740 Hood. 700

Hi, all. I hit a deer the other night and my '89 740 GLE needs a little help recovering. (The deer won't be recovering) I live in Millis, MA, which is just outside of Boston. I need a hood, driver's side headlight bezel, and the strut that runs from the radiator to the driver's side fender. The rest I have been able to find online. I did find a new hood on eBay, but they want $500, plus $150 for shipping. I'll get it if I have to, but I'm pretty strapped for cash and hope I can find something cheaper. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ron

Longshot and you probably know about this place already but there is a junk yard on rt109 in
Millis. It is a pic n pull and they always had some Volvos in the yard but I have not been there in a long time.

    good luck

You could try the used parts market like here:

    http://www.hollanderparts.com/SearchResults/BestMatchesResult?year=1989&make=Volvo&model=740&application=117-58075A&category=Front%20Body&PartType=Hood&PartTypeName=alum&vendor=&newSearch=true

If you're lucky, you may find the right color. There are other used parts search tools online, but I can't remember where. But as I recall they listed what color the body parts were. Depending on where you are, you shouldn't have to travel too far to find something for less than $500+150. 1989 was the last year of that hood design. I don't know how many years you can go back but I thing it's a few. Maybe someone else knows........
