Anyone have the "after" picture of the moulded plastic/vinyl dash caps which idp and others offer for $50-$100? They say good as new for a fraction of the price but I found it's usually you get what you pay for. Any installation issues?

I haven't been able to source a new dash, not sure they exist at any price..my old ones are not that bad yet but down here with the sun it's not if but when. \Thanks.

    Put one on a previously-owned 240 to cover up a cracking and really nasty-looking original dash. It was one of the 'good ones' made by Dash Cap. Paid about $80 for it at the time. Installed mine using silicone-based caulk/adhesive. Fit beautifully. Looked great. No issues whatsoever. Really perked up the interior and was very easy to maintain. StockInteriors.com is selling them for $75 for the earlier models and $104 for the later 240s. Highly recommended.

    It is made of PVC and is more rigid than the original and does not have the "soft" look of OEM. Install is via double sided tape which in climes where the dash is exposed to extremes can break down after 3 to 5 years.
