door handle washer 120-130 1968

Hi all,
I have a 1968 130 and i need the 2 black plastic washers that are on the window winder handle as mine have lost their color. These are the large ones much like the 1800e or the 140. They have a smaller centre hole for locating than the 1800/140 ones. I believe they were only used on 68 and 69 models and dont mind if you correct me on this.
So the next question is: if none are available, has any one successfully painted them and what did you use.
Thanks in advance
David

Well now you have got me going. I cant wait to try the peanut butter and will post back with my results. If no success i will try the Great Knobs, failing that i may have to check out Erics collection.
Thanks guys
David

Those bezels are currently not available and I do not know if anyone is planning on reproducing them.

I do have good used ones if you need some.

I don't know if you can paint them.

FYI, The last model year for the Volvo 122 is 1970.

Thanks Derek
The smooth peanut butter worked like a charm. Not back to original, but very close. Any ideas why it works. My mind boggles.
Great tip

I think that the plastic just dries out and gets a bit porous and absorbs the peanut oil. There are plenty of black plastic bumper rejuvenator products that work in a similar way and the peanut butter gets the nod for doing them as well.
For the brave, black plastic bumper covers that have gone grey can be brought back to black with a heat gun. Be careful! Not tried that on these rings.

Food for thought
But I am not that brave. I'll stick with the peanut butter though
Cheers
