Hi all 1970 144s was my first volvo, great car. I am looking for a fresh air vent flap to install on one of my 240s. I have put one in already and its great brings back lots of memories before the days of auto ac. I ended up removing automagic and installing a 4 speed with OD and removed the SU stromberg carbs, replace intake manifold with a modified one along with a 2 barrel weber carb very nice setup for another 100k. sold it at 250k to buy a 75 164e with 90k on it.

    I think I have some too from a pair of '72s, but it'll take some looking.

    What do you mean that you had SU Stromberg carbs.? Were they SUs or Strombergs? Just curious as I thought most '70s delivered on the east coast had Strombergs.

    I have a collection of those vents--added one to the right side of my original 1976 265 V8 when I installed the carbed engine and didn't need the FI ECU. That was easy 'cause back then they just put a "blank" over the hole. Now I see my resurrection of the V8 (VolvOldsmobile) on a '93 245 will require cutting a hole of my own.
