adapter for fuel rail schrader valve 900 1993

I recently found a relatively inexpensive and effective 90 degree schrader adapter that will fit the late B230 fuel rails with the little schrader test fitting. Because of clearance issues, most gauges cannot be directly connected to the rail. With this, I can hook up my fuel pressure gauge, with the "Ford" adapter, to this fitting and test my pressure thru the built in valve.

I found mine on EBAY, from "scooter-crazy". Shipping from UK was a bit steep, but the similar product offered from here in US would be a no-go for this application as it does NOT have schrader internals at both ends, only at one (for use with manual air pump).

The fitting did not leak, even when I clamped the return line and the system pressure shot up to above 80 PSI. The rubber seals are, of course, not the special kind designed for gasoline, so may not hold up long term with frequent use, but I expect the little adapter to be suitable for occasional use as long as I "air it out" so no wet gas is left on the rubber.

This came up on TB recently: http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=289701&highlight=schrader

In this thread, one ever did anything but speculate. Well, it is Spring now, and I'm grateful to see dinomartino's actual experience with a working ell adapter. Belongs in the faq I do opine. Definitely a frequently asked question.
