Actually, if you want to see quite a few of these cars with later improvements, and features never available in the US up to the end of the run in 1998, go to mobile.de or autoscout24--many, many choices.

Dream 945 in Japan 900

Still, though.

Imagine if it had a manual transmission ...

Even w/ RHD, it'd be super nifty. Yeah, it has the turbo. I could do without the turbo, yet if well cared for and all, well, it'd be super swell AND the manual transmission.

Mr. Nabisco!!!!!

I had some of your shredded wheat today!

My dream would be the 1998 (final year) 940. Normally aspirated with the manual transmission. I guess it was still the M47 II or something Getrag newer? If sold in Europa, you could get the manual transmission, unlike the NA market.

Or a 1972 164 with the M410.

Left hand drive is easier on the steering shaft u-joints and bushes and such as the exhaust is on the RH side.

A 1992-1993 240 with M47 II and the Bosch LH-Jet 3.1 is MORE than fast enough for me.

Welp, Happy St. Patrick's.

cheers,

Mr. Buttermilk and Sourdough.
