Now what: replace engine (b230ft) or sell off rolling chassis (745T)? 700 1992

I need some suggestions here, folks. My old reliable Ghost has thrown a rod.

Should I swap in a replacement engine? And stick with B230FT to avoid computer issues? Or go with something more modern and easy to repair, maybe OBD-2 included?
Closest Yard wants $500 for an engine, and that climbs to $700 by the time my pro mechanic installs it, no counting 10+ hrs of labor to do the whole swap thing.

Or should I just liquidate the old thang? Is a rust-free (Texas) rolling chassis of a 1992 745T worth much to y'all?

    It's really up to you.

How much other maintenance/repair has been done and what else is an issue? I put a used 94 b230ft in my 90, and it has been fantastic. Worth every penny and almost every hour of greasiness.

The body should have some value to some of the Volvo enthusiasts down that way. What is the overall condition?
Later motors would be major work to use; a small block Chevy or Ford can make a nice sleeper, and would be reliable. I'd just get another redblock though, but it occurs to ask why the one you have threw a rod. That is a rare event.
Oh, and there may be some folks on Turbobricks who would want the car.
