The rear wiper on my 86 245 is not working. I installed new door hinge harnesses 2 years ago.Everything else on the door works. From the wiring diagram, the power from the switch appears to go thru the timer/relay. Does anyone know where the relay is located? I found a relay above the clutch pedal, but am not sure what it is. Bosch number on that relay is 0332015012.

The most reliable way to identify your relay is by observing the colored wires that lead to it. Match them up with what's in your wiring diagram, and you have your answer.

make your life easier. before doing anything else verify you have 12 volts to the rear wiper motor.

before suspecting the relay suspect the motor itself

The front windshield wiper relay is located under a panel on the extreme left forward floor of the driver's footwell. I think the wagon hatch wiper relay is located there as well. -- Dave
