Awesome 240 Tail Lights replacements 200

I bought some tail lights from some guy named Frank from New Jersey and those tail lights were terrible; every couple of months a new lens would fall off. It’s hard and expensive in my opinion to buy just a lens. So finally I had to replace my tail lights again because I realized that the rear part of the tail light housing was melting. The Chinese use the cheapest glue and plastics to make these lights, never again!

So I was on the hunt again for tail lights. I searched online and found some 240 tail lights that looked very good. I was in luck because the seller was near me in Chicago. I reached out to the seller and asked him if I could by the lights locally. He replied back with his address and I visited the location. These guys were awesome and helpful. They showed me the difference between the Chinese made lights and the lights he makes in Estonia. He assured me that my lenses would not fall off ever again and that he warranties his lights. The seller claimed he has them made specifically for him with his own specifications and actually owns the molds and press to make his own 240 tail lights. And that I would not find a better assembly anywhere.

So I bought the lights. The tail lights came with circuit boards, sockets and bulbs plus he installed them for me all for $120. I highly recommend these tail lights. They just felt and looked like the quality was far better than the junk I had on my car. I will post some pictures once I can clean my beloved 240.

Check out these lights.

I'm not sure you can dismiss all members from Autagaville. I did a check of the Brickboard last time we had a bout of trolling from that little hamlet in Alabam', and we have dozens of members with the same hometown, some of them seemingly legitimate contributors.

It is truly remarkable that we have so many members hailing from a town with a population of 870. Must be the highest per-capita concentration of 240s in the world.

I suspect a Brickboard glitch, however, the original post does seem a bit commercial.

        OK, back on topic 200

OK, sure, I can imagine that easily on here.

Five years ago a few were considering a try of the Estonian lamps. A search will reveal we talk about them occasionally:

        https://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Awww.brickboard.com+estonian

And if our brand new member would tell us they are improved over previous editions, I might be tempted to give SCP another try. Still a bad taste leftover from the money spent in '04 on a set from Swedish Car Parts. But they, as any of them, do look nice when you first install them.

Certainly is possible SCP had the same concerns over what it had sold in the past and has made an effort to improve the product. Just as the Cibie/Valeo replacements went to hell when made to supply only aftermarket, the competition may have improved over the years. Might be worth a try, but would like to hear a review from someone who has owned them a year or two.

In this post http://www.brickboard.com/RWD/volvo/1366803/220/240/260/280/aftermarket_tailamp_lenses_thumbs.html from 2009, I include my opinion of the (at the time) 3 available tail light replacements.

On topic, then back off : ) 200

Yeah, the Estonian lenses are nowhere near original Volvo quality, but I have found them to be usable as long as you use the LED replacement bulbs so that the plastic doesn't melt. Those LEDs are not as bright, however, so hardly an ideal solution.

I would still like to see the Autagaville mystery addressed by Jarrod. It seems like the location is most commonly associated with one-time posters only, but some of those posts seem legitimate, and I am sure that all of the user names from Autagaville are not the same person trolling or promoting their goods.

Here is a less-than-exhaustive list of members I recorded from Autagaville:

Awesome 240 Tail Lights replacements 200

Very nice price at 120 for the pair even if its only the black trim version.Have always found the aftermarket ones(bulbs) would wreak havoc on the bulb falure indicator, but if you changed both assemblies no problems.
