Door alignment 122S 120-130

I'm nearly finished with my 220 wagon. After installing new door seals I find that I have to realign the drivers door.
I haven't found any way to get to the hinge mount bolts. Is there any way of accessing these without removing the fender?

Went ahead and pulled the fender. Not really much of a project, just didn't want to do it.
It's back together now. Door closes properly and the panel spacing is much better.

I had to access these bolts to remove door and hinges to replace worn hinges on a larger heavier coupe door.
If you remove the mudflap brace, the outboard end is connected to the fender with a large hex head sheet metal screw. You can then just pull the bottom edge of the fender away to gain access to the lower hinge bolts. I believe that the upper bolts are accessible without doing this, but it's easier if the car is up in the air. As stated prior, a box end wrench does the trick. I believe it's 1/2" or 9/16"
Admittedly, you just want to loosen them enough to adjust the door position, so you don't need to remove them. It's a process of trial and error - loosen, butch the door around, probably in closed position so the gap is even, tighten the bolts down and try opening and closing the door. then adjust it again.

Fender removal is not necessary to do this.

I have a vague recollection of modifying a box wrench, 9/16 was it? to fit around the hinge.
I heated it and bent to a hook shape to access the bolts.
    Deloc

      Thanks for the reply.
I guess I'll go ahead and pull the fender, fishing around with a wrench sounds like disaster for my new paint.

I've had to access these bolts when removing a door to replace the worn hinges on a longer heavier coupe door. If you unbolt) the fender (large sheet metal screw with hex head at the bottom rear - I believe this is integral with the mudflap brace - you can then access the bolts. Granted this is easier with the car up in the air. You can then get to the bolts without damaging the fender or paint
I believe that I took the door off the hinges and then the hinge off the body. For your purposes you just want to loosen the bolts enough to tweak the hinge on the body. Doable.
