300,000 beautiful miles :) 1990

Howdy folks! I made a trip a little while ago for the holidays and wound up at 299,997 miles when I came in for a landing at my mom's house.

The next day, I managed to capture this historical moment.

Apparently, facebook doesn't want me hotlinking this video.

    Will,

What year is the car, and is it a manual or automatic?

I was at my mechanic's shop last week getting my 740 serviced and he pointed out two other 740s in the lot that were still being used by their original owners. He told me the people (and other first owners we both know) won't get rid of the cars for any reason.

It's a 90 740 turbo, and it's automatic. It's running a B230FT L-block from a 94 940T, with an 87 (I think) AW-70 transmission. I did the engine swap after the already repaired block cracked due to coolant loss, Kruse-Lucas Imports in Modesto sold the car to my parents with an engine from an 87 and the AW70. I got it from my parents at around 120-140K miles. I honestly don't remember when exactly haha.

But.... yeah. I've come to like it more and more, though the terrible mileage for a sedan and the minor problems do wear on me a bit. I do really enjoy driving it though, and the simplicity of most of its systems.
