Volvo 240 1992 , reverse lights not working , replaced bulbs , checked fuses , still no lights , any ideas? also have OD problems , not shifting to 4th gear, related??

    Reverse lights could be from a faulty switch (usually near the top of the trans on manua) or wiring connections at the switch. Your OD and reverse light issue could also be from faulty wiring coming into the car from the trans (up through shifter linkage area). Mine was pretty chewed up when I lost my reverse lights.

    However, you could also have a problem with your transmission if it won't shift into 4th, your OD won't work, and your reverse light switch isn't being tripped.

    Did the all the problems start at the same time?
