windshield washer check valve 200

The check valve for the rear washer in my 245 quit -- the little rubber diaphragm thingy had softened and gummed up the inside, sealing it all shut.

After cleaning out the gunk, I replaced the diaphragm with a disc cut from a plastic sandwich bag and snapped the valve together.

Works perfectly.

Happy Holidays to all!

I used a disc cut from the cuff of a dishwashing glove.

Have you added a filter from a late model 740?

No, but that's a very good idea. Thanks.

        ahhh, no pictures.
Will the kitchen glove last longer then the baggy? Time will tell : )

In my experience, I gotta go with the glove:

Closing in on 2 years and still working like champ.

And with a Volvo, such a question is not trivial. Put another way... "Which is likely to last another 300,000 miles -- the glove or the baggy?"
