Can you identify this part? 200

Hello Brickers,

I'm looking to identify a part for my 1990 Volvo 240.

It is the part you need to disconnect when you take off the throttle body. It has a black clip on each end that attaches to a small, metal ball. You unclip one side of the part when removing the throttle body.

Can anyone tell me what the official name is and possibly where I can get a new one?

Thanks in advance...

GoVo

      Hi Paulii,

What's your email address? I only need 1.

I would happily pay you for one!

      Thanks

      GV

Please note, the threads on the plastic socket for the throttle linkage are odd. 1 end is right hand thread, the other is a left hand thread.

Why the rod end threads differ... 200

...is so the length of the "Throttle Control Rod" can be adjusted, if necessary.

When the 2 lock nuts are loosened (rod still attached at each end), the rod length can be made longer or shorter, depending on which way the rod is turned.

See Bentley 240 manual, Air Intake section (250).

I would call it throttle linkage but guessing dealer is about the only place unless salvage yard.
