My beloved 1994 940 Wagon with the third row seat has busted a hole in its block. (And I just put $600 snow tires on it!)

I have my eye on a 1995 940 wagon without the third row seat. Will the seat from my 1994 940 swap over?

The only possible issue that comes to mind is the rear seat height that changed between 1993 and 1994. This really wouldn't make a difference for you as the 94 and 95 model years have the same rear seat height. .

Big issue to mention is that the cargo area of the 940 is a crumple zone. If you are regularly hauling children in heavy traffic, it might be a concern.

It will fit with no problem. Just reuse the plastic cut-outs for the seat belts being careful with removal.

what are you going to do with the body of the 94? There may be Volvo peeps in AL who may want it.

I'm in CT (I'll update my profile!). Body has oxidized paint and some dents. Cloth upholstery has tears. It's had a rough life. I bought it about a year ago for $600. I'll probly have to scrap it. (Nooooo!)

Hope you're well. I'd guess the swap will be pefrect: there are few difference between the '94 and '95 940 wagons, either as to body format or mechanical items.

One example of incompatbility - as between '94 and '95 940s - has to do with the instrument cluster.
