    How does that 122 fetch 36K and there are no takers on the Duett? He even has a Make an Offer option so you could probably get it for less than 22.

      People are smoking weed that are bidding on it. 100% sure the high bidder won't go through with the deal.

      I bought my stock black '66 122 for $2200 three years ago.

      I think these reality TV shows (Fast-n-loud, Counting Cars, etc.) are overinflating prices of old cars. I bought a very drivable 122 13 years ago for $125 with a M41/J-OD. Didn't drive it for 10 years, and made somebody very happy a couple of months ago for $650 with the OD tranny (but gave him a ton of used parts to go with it - including rust-free fenders and ok nose section).

        Paul - nice cars, good prices.
        The current high bidder has only 1 (one) eBay sale. So, I agree w/you, this may become a non-sale. But, the 2nd bidder seems to be legit.
        Re: high sales prices - if they go high it's great if you already have what you want & justifies our expenditures on our cars. But, it sucks if you're in the market to purchase your classic Volvo. So, if me at least, since I have my Duett, keep those prices rising. Let them catch up to the 23 window bug! :)
