Rear Wheel rub/squeek- 200 1983

I started experiencing a rear suspension squeak recently- pulled wheels and noticed evidence of inner sidewall rub in my fenderwell (running 205/65R15 on 760 MultiX wheels)- no rub on right side, and I've been running this combo for ~4k, I also noticed that the bottom of the shock is wandering on its mount- as ~1" either side of the mounting position is shiny- trailing arm bushing? I didn't find any play. Nor did I find any loose connections. Threw 195/65R14s on, and I'll drive it tomorrow to see what I find. I am running lowering springs w/o a panhard rod, but by quick measurement my axle appears to be centered-

The lack of Panhard bar is your problem. That Rod holds the axle from side to side movement.
That's exactly what that Rod does for a living.
You turn Left or Right and there is nothing keeping the axle centered except a little help from the Shocks and teh twisting support of the trailing arms. The axle is basically floating on the coil springs.
The torque rods and Trailing Arms keep the axle from rotating and keeps it from moving forward or backward. the Panhard keeps it from moving side to side.
In 4K miles you stressed teh bushings in the shocks and the Trailing arms enough where you are now getting a rub.

      Tony-
Thank you, I should have said- no adjustable panhard rod- but I think the logic is the same- I'll do what I did with the last one, and make the oem adjustable and exact my centering- should this solve my issue, or should I look more closely at the bushings now that they have been stressed?

I think you'll be fine. Just modify and reinstall the Panhard.
Check the tightness of the shock mounting bolts and call it a day
