I am putting my engine back together and reinstalled it in the engine bay yesterday. I also fitted a little denso style alternator with internal regulator as shown in the picture. Saves a bit of space under there.

I run the same alternator on my 122 and I've been very happy with it for a number of years now.

Needs a small spacer and the mounting ear drilled out, but otherwise a direct bolt on for the bosch alternator.

Thats a good idea.... I would consider doing same but i am planning on AC on the left side.

I used a Denso from a Suzuki Swift and mounted it on the Dist side of the motor, just had to make a couple of L brackets, so its away from the heat.
