lopsided turn signal 120-130 1967

The turn signal switch on my '67 220 is not symetrical. Right works as in any other car. Left needs to moved as far as possible to get any blinking. Is there a repair or adjustment that can be made, or is replacemnt the only option ?

Thanks

Greg

You will need to pull the steering wheel. There is a plastic cone shaped ring with 2 voids in it, this is my 69. A detente is tripped by the ring to return the lever to home. It may be off center. I centered the void on the detente on my car and both sides allow the same turn amount to reset the stalk. It's too far in both directions though. I am going to remove the steering wheel again and center it on the solid part. That would make about a quarter turn, i think. I'm curios to see if your 67 is the same. Mine might be like a 140 series, since it has a locking steering wheel.

I think you will find that the turn signal mechanism is the same on the '67 and the '69.

      Cheers,

Just fixed mine. First, use some contact cleaner to ensure good contact within the switch. Then tighten the two bolts under the dash that hold the steering column in place. I'm not saying that this is a positive fix for your problem but it worked for me.
