Vacuum line behind alternator 200 1984

Hi folks,

I've got a cut off line that seems to be coming from under the engine and behind the alternator. It's stuck in there. Any idea where that is supposed to go on that side? I haven't managed to follow where it actually comes from on the driver side of the engine, if it goes anywhere.

For info, years ago I had rerouted the vac line that goes from the top of the intake manifold (from a little nipple near the other nipple that goes down to the flame trap) to the ICU, to go around the engine bay instead.

I cannot remember if the bottom line that goes nowhere is a remnant of that, or if it's something else that should actually be connected...

I'm betting that's the old vacuum line to the ICU (which you cut off and bypassed?). That's what it is on my 83 which has the same LH-2 and ignition system as your 84. I did a total replacement of the engine's wiring harnesses and rubber hoses a few years ago and routed everything in the original locations, but used that protective plastic split tubing in the vulnerable areas.

It's probably it. I think it might have been already cut when I installed the new one and that's why I don't remember cutting it...

Oh well, thanks :)
