Fuether follow up to low idle 900 1993

Here is a further follow up to my previous posts. Thanks for the feedback. Check engine light has now set codes 232 and 233. Swedish bricks says code 232 is: Lambda control too rich or too lean at idle. If too rich high fuel pressure and leaking injector. Various driving problems.

I dont smell any fue land the only driving problem is low idle. So probably lambda control is too lean...although there is no idle surging or hunting. Can someone explain lambda control and tell me where to find it. I have never had any problem in this area.

Code 233 does not appear in the swedish bricks code list. Does anyone know what it is.

2-3-2 suggests the O2 sensor is not working properly.

Fuether follow up to low idle 900 1993

Dear Ira Eisenberg,

Hope you're well. Yes, Sir! Code 233: "Long term idle air trim outside control range". Volvo pocket data bookle: Cars - 700, 850, 900 (1991-1996), p. 6 Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

This suggests that the idle air control valve is not working properly or consistently.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

Spook
