That looks like a regular late B20 housing to me. I don't see how it would "unslant" a M45/6/7 in any way. And if it fits a B20, it won't fit a B30.

I wouldn't know about B20 vs B30, etc. Maybe the seller was just making an assumption?

But in both photos, especially the shot from the engine side, it does appear that the whole back end was cut off and rewelded back together (presumably with the correct rotation to clock the trans and engine into line with each other).

You are right -- I was thinking about it backwards.

Yeah, not useable on a 164. It could be used on a 200/700 car to set the engine upright if you wanted to for some reason (usually for more room on the exhaust side for a big honking (tm) turbo.

Also, converting to cable clutches on a 122/early-ish 1800 might not be required - don't the slave cylinders on hydraulic late model cars fit in the same hole as the clutch cable? Just needs a different clutch fork that takes a push vs. a pull.

Although on the bellhousing I have there's a pretty thick rubber bushing around the cable that takes up the room the hydraulic version needs, maybe this one isn't the same. The hole doesn't look that big.

To me, they used a M46 transmission side half of the bellhousing with a M40 (early cable version)engine side half of the bellhousing.

It's a useless looking thing. What good is the M45/M46? The ratios are so useless.
