choke cable clips 120-130

Hello All,

Anyone have photos of where the choke clips go on the hs6's?
I don't have a clue. When I pull the choke full out its the same.as when its in... Due to the
Clips.
Sorry for the question but Im stuck here.

Thanks

    choke cable clips 120-130

One clip on each end of the cable sheathing, the clip inside of the car is attached to the back of the dash switch(knob pull). The other should be attached to the carb.

My heater cable sheathing slipped and wore out. I 'repaired' the sheathing with hot glue just slightly larger than the outside diameter of the original sheathing. This gave the OEM clamp really good purchase and it hasn't slipped since. I let the plastic glue cool before clamping it.

      Thanks Klaus,

I must say I think I am getting dimmer with age...
I thought there should be a clip on each carb?

Maybe a picture would sort me out, but I can't seem to find one.

      thanks

          Thanks Derek,

Rhys sorted me out. the clips aren't biting down on the cable so much so I am going to try and build it up with some plastic tubing and some tape.

          Almost there!

          cheers,

I you have enough choke cable, I've just cut the whole sheath - plastic and wound steel about 1/2", or just cut it where the plastic sheath ends now, and then try the clip again on "new" plastic. I use a triangular file to mostly cut the metal and then a pliers to snap it off. Easier if the cable has been slid out of the sheath.
